There are 22 patients waiting on trolleys in University Hospital Kerry today.
That’s according to figures provided by the Irish Nurses and Midwives’ Organisation.
16 people are on trolleys in UHK’s emergency department, while a further six patients are waiting on trolleys in wards elsewhere within the hospital.
Nationally, 521 people are waiting for beds in hospitals across the country.
University Hospital Limerick is the worst affected with 91 people waiting on trolleys.
