22 patients waiting on trolleys in UHK

There are 22 patients waiting on trolleys in University Hospital Kerry’s Emergency Department.

That’s according to figures provided by the Irish Nurses and Midwives’ Organisation.

Nationally today, there are 497 waiting on trolleys.

Cork University Hospital is the worst affected with 57 people awaiting beds, while there are 45 without a bed in University Hospital Limerick.
