There are 22 patients waiting on trolleys in University Hospital Kerry’s Emergency Department.
That’s according to figures provided by the Irish Nurses and Midwives’ Organisation.
They show that nationally today, there are 485 waiting for a bed in hospitals.

University Hospital Limerick is the most overcrowded with 59 waiting on trolleys, while there are 48 waiting for a bed in Cork University Hospital.
