More than one in five positions available on children’s disability teams in Kerry and Cork remain unfilled.
Figures published in today’s Irish Examiner show that 21% of jobs in this sector are vacant in the south-west.
According to the newspaper, there's a shortfall of 28% in average staffing levels nationally.

In the south-east, the vacancy rate is the highest at 33%.
The HSE states recruitment is ongoing.
