20 fixed charge notices have been issued to people in Kerry for parking on footpaths.
The figures cover from January up until the end of June this year; nationally, over 2,100 (2,196) fixed charge notices were issued during that period.
The highest number of fixed charge notices were issued in the Limerick Garda Division at 354, while fewer than 10 such notices were issued in the Laois/Offaly Garda division.
The figures were provided by Minister for Justice Jim O’Callaghan, following a query from Social Democrats TD Aidan Farrelly.
