18% passenger increase expected through Shannon Airport over the May Bank Holiday Weekend

Shannon Airport's expecting May Bank Holiday passenger numbers to jump by a fifth in a year.

About 53,000 people are due to pass through this weekend.

Some of the most popular destinations include Madeira, Lanzarote, Naples, Palma and Porto.

Shannon Airport management is urging travellers to book car parking in advance ahead of a very busy weekend.
