175 social housing units are currently under construction in Kerry.
An update on active social housing construction sites was given at the recent meeting of Kerry County Council, by Chief Executive Moira Murrell.
Eight sites are currently active in Kerry, with the majority of units expected to be completed next year.
10 housing units will be delivered this month in Baile an Gharraí in Lixnaw.
A further 42 houses are expected to be completed next month, with 22 at Farranwilliam in Ardfert and 20 in Rathmore.
These three sites were deemed essential and have been open during Level 5 restrictions.
Five more sites have recently become active again due to the loosening of some restrictions.
Among these is the site at Lohercannon in Tralee, where 61 housing units will be delivered in the middle of next year.
The site at Croogorts, also in Tralee, has also recently become active again, with 30 houses to be delivered there in 2022.
The site at Rock Road in Killarney, where 10 houses are being built, has now reopened, as has the single rural dwelling house at Caragh Lake.
Moira Murrell added the completion dates at these sites will be delayed due to their closure.
Contracts have been awarded for 22 social houses in Woodview Place in Tarbert, expected to be completed in August next year, and 8 units at Rahoonane in Tralee, due to be finished by May next year.
