There are 16 people waiting on trolleys in University Hospital Kerry.

This is according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation, which says there are 146 people nationwide waiting on trolleys or in wards for a bed.

The UHK total of 16, which was at 8am today, is the highest number at the hospital in recent months.
