120-metre long cruise ship anchored in Shannon Estuary

A 120-metre long cruise ship has dropped anchor in the Shannon Estuary.

The Portuguese ship, World Navigator, travelled around the south-west coast from Cobh to Foynes last night.

As there is no room for the ship to berth in Foynes, its 34 passengers are travelling from the ship to the port town via tender boats.

It will be anchored there until around 9pm tonight.
