Over 110 patients have been waiting on trolleys for treatment in University Hospital Kerry this week.
That’s according to figures from the Irish Nurses’ and Midwives’ Organisation.
29 people are waiting on trolleys in University Hospital Kerry today.
20 patients are on trolleys in the Emergency Department and a further nine are on trolleys in wards.
This brings the number of patients awaiting a bed in UHK so far this week to 112.
On Monday seven patients were on trolleys in the Tralee hospital; this jumped to 20 on Tuesday.
The INMO figures show, 27 people were awaiting a bed on Wednesday; while 29 patients were waiting on trolleys in UHK yesterday (Thursday).
