11 families with international protection status in Kerry have been issued with letters informing them that they will be moved to alternative IPAS accommodation.
The figures were provided by Minister for Justice Jim O'Callaghan when the question was raised by Independent TD Catherine Connolly.
Of the 11 families, 20 children and 16 adults have been told that they will be moved to alternative IPAS accommodation if they have not sourced private accommodation.
The Justice Minister stated that the families being moved have had their status to remain for more than 12 months and were first informed about the planned moves a year ago, receiving a follow-up letter in March of this year.
Everyone who has been issued with the notices will be moved, except in very rare circumstances where someone cannot be moved for medical reasons.
The first moves began on Friday, July 4th, and will continue on a phased basis throughout the summer.
Nationally, 600 families have been issued the notice that they will be moved to alternative accommodation, including 1,200 children.
