More than 1,000 marriages were registered in Kerry last year.
That’s according to figures in the Central Statistics Office Marriages report for 2025.
It shows the average age for brides last year was 36.1 years, while grooms were on average 38 years of age.
Nationally, Friday was the most popular day to get married in 2025, while August was the most popular month.
According to the CSO, 1,030 marriages were registered in Kerry in 2025.
20 weddings in the county last year were same-sex ceremonies, with civil marriages and other religious denominations accounting for 65% of celebrations.
11 male couples tied the knot in Kerry during 2025, while 9 female marriages were registered.
1,010 opposite sex weddings were celebrated in the Kingdom last year.
Roman Catholic marriages accounted for the highest number of these, at 40% (401).
Other religious denomination celebrations accounted for almost a quarter of weddings in the county, at 243 during 2025.
Civil marriages were the next most popular weddings, with 216, or just over 21% in the Kingdom last year.
In total, 82 humanist marriages were registered in Kerry; 72 spiritualist ceremonies were celebrated, while three Church of Ireland weddings were registered in the county.
