101 additional Covid deaths and 879 new cases reported this evening

Figures released this evening by the Health Protection Surveillance Centre, show 101 additional deaths related to Covid-19 in the Republic.

879 new cases of the virus have also been reported.

This evening's figure includes 14 new cases in Kerry.

While this figure is slightly higher than yesterday, Kerry remains the third lowest county in the country for new Covid cases in the last fortnight.
