It’s semi-final weekend in the Kerry Petroleum Club Football Championships.
The Senior Championship will have one of its finalists decided on Saturday evening as Na Gaeil face Rathmore in Lewis Road at half past 5.
A win for Na Gaeil would see the Tralee side reach the Senior final for the first time in their club history, while Rathmore — who won in 2011 — are aiming to return to the final for the first time since 2012.
The other semi-final takes place on Sunday as reigning champions Dr Crokes and Kenmare Shamrocks meet at Austin Stack Park.
Kenmare boss Kieran Moriarty says excitement is building nicely ahead of the match:
Kenmare Shamrocks versus Dr Crokes at half 3 this Sunday will be live on Radio Kerry with thanks to MD O’Shea’s Killarney.
In the Intermediate Championship, Kilcummin face Fossa in Austin Stack Park on Sunday at half past one. Kilcummin beat Fossa earlier in the competition group stages after both teams were already qualified. They reached the semi-final after a one-point win over Listowel Emmets.
Kilcummin Manager James Foley says a close win is the perfect way to build momentum:
That game is followed by Killarney Legion against An Ghaeltacht in Milltown at four o’clock.
The Junior Premier Championship throws in on Saturday evening at five o’clock, when Keel meet St Senan’s at John Mitchel’s.
On Sunday, Listry take on favourites Ballymacelligott. Listry Manager John Evans says there is a good buzz in Listry lately, inspired by the younger members of the club:
And in the Junior Championship, the quarter-finals will be played this weekend.
On Saturday, Knocknagoshel face Cordal at 3, while Tarbert play Lios Póil at half past five.
On Sunday, Kilgarvan meet Beale at 2, and Moyvane go up against St Michael’s-Foilmore at half past three.
