Gavin Brouder gave trainer Martin Pipe his first Irish winner in 10 years when winning the Adare Manor Opportunity Final Handicap Hurdle on Thanksforthehelp on the second day of the Punchestown Festival on Wednesday. Switching to his left to challenge at the final hurdle, the 14/1 chance picked up well to win by two and a half lengths from the Gavin Cromwell-trained Ballysax Hank in the colours of the race sponsor, JP McManus. Pipe now has four Punchestown Festival winners to his name and Thanksforthehelp was the first since the Jamie Codd-ridden Champers On Ice scored in 2015.
