Fiona’s 23-year-old son has special needs, and is waiting three years for a dentist’s appointment. He had been going to the dentist in Tralee that deals with children with special needs. He was last seen when he was almost 20; that dentist had kept him on to complete some work.
He was referred in 2020 to Mallow, to the service that caters for adults with special needs, but is yet to get an appointment. Fiona says it’s always the same with people with special needs.
