This Sunday, April 2nd, at 3pm a commemoration will take place to remember George Nagle and William Conway O’Connor who were killed on April 6th, 1923 during a raid by pro-Treaty forces in Derry na Feena, Glencar. The two young men were anti-Treaty volunteers. The ceremony will take place at Lough Acoose, Glencar. Jerry speaks to Jim Counihan, a grandnephew of William Conway O’Connor, and to James Nagle, a grandnephew of George Nagle.
