Sheila Nolan from Knocknagoshel got in touch with the programme after she heard Jerry read comments about ‘broc’ yesterday. The word was used to describe sleep or mucus in one’s eye. Sheila remembers the word being used by her grandmother who died aged 99 in 1971. Sheila used to wash her grandmother’s eyes when they got infected.
