Over the last number of weeks we have been talking about he 3 Olympians who reside in Kerry that have traveled to Tokyo. Aileen Crowley and Monika Dukarska have already started their event and are into the semi finals of the women's pair in rowing.
David Kenny from Firies is competing in the 20km race walk in just over a weeks time. Davids father Noel spoke on Terrace Talk this evening:
Michael O Connor from Farranfore Maine Valley AC also spoke on today's show
But outside of those 3, we also have 3 more athletes that we may claim as our own!
Michael Foley, who's father hails from Killorglin is part of the Canadian Track Cycling team. Gerard Foley, from Coolbane in Killorglin moved to Ontario in the early 90's and Michael will represent Canada in Tokyo next week.
Another cyclist Josie Knight, she grew up in Dingle but is representing Team GB at the games this year.
And finally, Harry McNulty, who is on the Ireland Rugby 7's team in Tokyo, grandparents hail from Dingle and Scartaglin.
