We received the following in recent days.
I would like to remain anonymous and also my club not to be mentioned but we are currently playing in the lower leagues of the county football leagues. We have always played traditional football, working from the kick out for scores. But recently we have found teams adopting more defensive tactics like using a sweeper and blanket defences. For years we were competitive and high scoring. It's always been our way to play to our best and score high. If we were beaten but scored 20 points + we would be happy moving into training again the next week. But with senior clubs bringing in B and C teams, we are coming up against better drilled sides who we find difficult to break down. We would love to hear this discussed on the show as I'm sure we are not the only team struggling to adapt to this 'new' style of play. Maybe to hear it from a coach who has a background in this. Keep up all the great work….
