Around 390 Irish-based employees are at risk of losing their jobs at Facebook parent company Meta as the social media giant looks to cutting more than 11,000 staff worldwide. This comes on foot of announcements of major job losses at Twitter and Stripe. Orla Coughlan is chair of the HR Leaders’ Forum with the Tech Industry Alliance for Kerry and Cork. She says, however, these developments could create opportunities in the south-west.
