World semis for Irish runners this lunchtime

Sarah Lavin will bid to book a place in the 100-metres hurdles final at the World Athletics Championships this lunchtime.

The Olympian from Limerick goes in the first of the semi-finals in Tokyo at just after 1pm Irish time.

At the same time, Andrew Coscoran has his 15-hundred metres semi-final and Nicola Tuthill competes in the final of the hammer.

Overnight, Peter Lynch finished 24th in the Men's Marathon but Hiko Tonosa did not finish.
