There were plenty of goals on the final day of the Women's Premier Division.

Champions Athlone Town strolled to a 4-0 defeat of Sligo Rovers with Madie Gibson scoring twice for the hosts.

Retiring Kylie Murphy scored a hattrick in her final game for Wexford in a 3-0 win at home to Cork City.

Shamrock Rovers just edged Shelbourne 5-4 with the departing Aine O'Gorman and Jemma Quinn on the scoresheet in Tallaght.

Waterford came from 2-0 down to beat Treaty United 3-2 while Peamount United and Bohemians played out a 3-3 draw.

Galway United end the season in third place after recording a 3-1 win over DLR Waves.
