Team Flexachem defeated St.Vincents in the Dominos Men’s Super League by 81 points to 78. Ger Nolan reports
Tip off was at three o clock, with the home side having a positive opening quarter with good scoring from Jordan Blount and Eche Okeke along with excellent defending by their new American Marquez Letcher Ellis and led at 26 to 16 heading into the second period.
Another excellent second quarter by Team Flexachem with more points from Blount and Okeke along with further contributions from Rami Ghanhem and Emilyian Grudov saw Flexachem extend their lead to 15 by half time at 49 to 34.
A poor opening 5 minutes by Killorglin in the the Third allowed the Dublin side back in and when Vincent's Charlie Coombes landed a three midway into the quarter the lead was down to six, but Flexachem rallied again and put the lead out to 9 at 64 to 55 heading into the final period.
Again,a slow opening two minutes by Killorglin along with good scores by Vincent's William Thomas had the Launesiders lead down to 2 at 64 to 62 with eight minutes to go,but then Jordan hit a purple patch with four scores on the trot including a 3 pointer and pushed Killorglin ahead again.St.Vincents then went on a strong scoring spree and took the lead for the first time in the game with three minutes remaining, but Flexachem hit back in a nail biting finish with scores from Letcher Ellis,Ghanhem and Okeke to edge out the Dublin side for a badly needed win on a final score of 81 to 78.
Man of the matchJordan Blount had 29 points to his name in this one, while best for Vincent's was William Thomas on 30.
Team Flexachem will be back in Dublin next Saturday Evening for their next game against UCD Marian.

Basketball Ireland review:
Killester went level with Ballincollig after defeating the recent Domino’s MSL National Cup winners 81-80 on Monday afternoon. Josh Wilson hit a very tough three from straight on with just over a minute to go to give them a five-point advantage. A Dylan Corkery three, followed by an Adrian O’Sullivan free-throw, made it a nervy ending for Killester, but they held on for their 11th win of the season. Robert Braswell scored a joint-game-high 24 points for Killester, with Ballincollig’s Adrian O’Sullivan equalling that with 24 points of his own. Latavious Mitchell had 20 points for Ballincollig, but they still felt the loss of Latrell Jossell as they slipped to a second league defeat in three games.
The result leaves both sides at 11-5 for the season, competing for second spot, two games behind the league leaders, Belfast Star, who are at a 13-3 record, following two victories over the weekend, against Flexachem KCYMS and Garvey’s Tralee Warriors.
Flexachem KCYMS picked up a vital win in their battle against relegation with an 81-78 win over playoff hunters St. Vincent’s. Rami Ghanem and Jeffery Okeke both nailed free-throws in the final 30 seconds to give Killorglin the three-point win after William Thomas had tied the game at 78-78, with less than a minute to go. Irish international Jordan Blount led the scoring for Killorglin with 29 points, with a strong supporting cast of Jeffery Okeke, Marquez Ellis and Emiliyan Grudov all scoring in double digits in the win.
Flexachem KCYMS are now one win ahead of Energywise Ireland Neptune at the foot of the table, with Killorglin at 5-10 to Neptune’s 4-11 record after their Sunday afternoon loss to Limerick Celtics. For Vincent’s, they are now 8-8 for the season and sit in sixth spot, level with UCD Marian in fifth.
Griffith College Éanna picked up an 88-78 road win at EJ Sligo All-Stars in Mercy College on Monday. Éanna took a 36-34 lead midway through the second quarter, and never surrendered the lead from then on, despite nine separate lead changes between the first and second quarters. Cathal O’Sullivan and Stefan Desnica combined for 43 of Éanna’s 88 points. Elijah Faapito scored 30 for Sligo, along with a 26-point performance from new signing Jordan Hinds.
Éanna currently occupy the final home playoff spot with a record of 9-6 in fourth, one win ahead of UCD Marian and St. Vincent’s, and two wins behind both Ballincollig and Killester.
