Wiffen says it was an 'amazing' feeling to defend European title

Daniel Wiffen says it was an 'amazing' feeling to successfully defend his European 15-hundred metres swimming title.

The Olympian produced a strong last 500-metres in last night's final to claim gold at the Short Course Championships in Poland.

Wiffen is back in the pool later for the heats of the 800-metres.

John Shortt can add to his 200-metres backstroke gold - he's in the men's 100-metres medal race this evening.

Ellie McCartney was fastest in qualifying yesterday for tonight's women's 200-metres breaststroke final.
