Wexford have released a statement hitting out at the FAI's decision to deduct their points after being adjudged to have fielded an ineligible player.
The association's disciplinary committee ruled that Darragh Dunne should not have played in their 3-0 win over UCD on the opening day of the First Division.
The club described the decision as "unfair and unjust", and will appeal the ruling.
