Wexford hurlers name new captain

Jack O'Connor has been appointed the new captain of Wexford's hurlers.

The St Martin�s clubman is currently recovering from a knee injury - but will be fit for the Leinster Championship.

Damien Reck will serve as vice-captain for the rest of the campaign.

All-Ireland champions Ballygunner dominate the AIB Club Hurling Team of the Year.

The Waterford kingpins have eight players on the 15 - including all three nominees for Player of the Year.

Dessie Hutchinson, Paddy Leavey and Stephen O�Keeffe are all shortlisted for that prize at the Awards on March 13th.
