Waterford owner Richard Forrest has defended his decision to sack manager Marc Bircham.
He was relieved of his duties three days before the Blues play UCD in the promotion-relegation playoff.
Bircham claims he found out about his sacking on Twitter, having initially revealed he was suspended.

Forrest says he was given no option but to sack Bircham.
