Waterford defender Shane Fives has announced his retirement

Waterford defender Shane Fives has announced his retirement from inter-county hurling.

The 32-year-old played for the Deise in the 2017 and 2020 All-Ireland finals.

Fives won a Munster title and a National Hurling League medal during his 13 season inter-county career.
