Jockey Mark Walsh has confirmed that he'll ride Jagwar in the Aintree Grand National.
Walsh was aboard the JP McManus-owned seven-year-old in finishing second in the Ultima at the Cheltenham Festival.
He says the gelding has come out of Cheltenham "very well" and he believes Jagwar has shown he has the staying power for the big race at Aintree.
Trainer Nicky Henderson has announced the death of his "unforgettable" stable star Sir Gino.
The Christmas Hurdle winner was unable to overcome a severe infection.
Henderson says the six-year-old had been recovering well from a pelvis fracture suffered at Cheltenham in January, but a long-standing infection had spread.
The trainer says Sir Gino was "as good as any of the amazing horses" he's worked with over the years.
