Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso has left the club by mutual consent.
The former Liverpool midfielder was appointed in the summer after leaving Bayer Leverkusen, who he led to the German title two years ago.
Alonso leaves the Spanish giants after just 28 games in which he won 20.
Another ex-Liverpool player Alvaro Arbeloa has replaced Alonso as he moves up from coaching the B team.
