The UK says it's up to organisers of The Open golf to decide where to host the 2028 event - following claims Donald Trump's pushing to hold it at a course he owns.

It's widely reported that the US president's repeatedly asked Keir Starmer about staging it at Turnberry.

The R-and-A says it's told the government about the venue's "logistical challenges".
