UCC Demons have confirmed they will replay their Men's Super League Quarter-Final against Energywise Ireland Neptune this weekend.
The replay will take place at the Mardyke Arena on Sunday, with tip-off scheduled for 5:30 PM.
The original fixture ended in a 100-93 victory for Demons, but Basketball Ireland's National League Committee ordered a replay due to a scoring error.
In an official statement, Demons said: “We’re staying in the competition out of respect for all the players and clubs involved. Our dispute was not with Neptune but with the National League Committee’s handling of the situation.”
The club also indicated they will seek accountability from the NLC regarding their handling of the scoring error.
The winner between Neptune and Demons will face Garvey's Tralee Warriors in the semi-final, expected to be scheduled midweek next week.
