Dublin’s Hannah Tyrrell says winning this year’s ZuCar Golden Boot is a “very nice bonus” after helping the Jackies to All-Ireland senior football glory in her final season.
Tyrrell scored five points in the Brendan Martin Cup final win over Meath, finishing the championship with 6-28 to top the scoring charts by three points.
The former Ireland rugby international, who previously won the award in 2023, confirmed her inter-county retirement after the All-Ireland success.
She tore her ACL late in that final and is now beginning rehab, ruling her out of Na Fianna’s club campaign. Tyrrell says she hopes to return at club level once her recovery allows.
