Tyrone edged out Armagh by 2-13 to 17-points in their opening match in football's Doctor McKenna Cup.

Mattie Donnelly and Lorcan McGarrity scored the goals for the Red Hand.

Tipperary ran out 15-points to 4 winners against Limerick in the McGrath Cup, with Clare enjoying a 3-10 to 11-points victory over Waterford.
