Trial rules around helmet removal & player dissent to be introduced

Trial rules around helmet removal and player dissent will be introduced in elite camogie for the 2026 season.

A player whose helmet is removed - either by themselves, a teammate or official - will be presumed to be injured and have to leave the field to receive treatment.

Only team captains will be allowed to speak to the referee about decisions, while referees will have increased sanctioning power if players or team officials show dissent.
