Tralee Parnells Hurling and Camogie notes

U10 Hurling
Our U10's had the privilege of playing in UCD at the weekend in a blitz hosted and well organised by Kilmacud Crokes.   Games were a combination of ground and air hurling both of which our two teams excelled at.  No one would have guessed the early start these players had to put on a display of Kerry hurling second to none.

Each player gave it their all and fought for every ball, every strike and every score resulting in both teams winning their finals. The coaches and parents were very proud of the performance.  Congratulations to the boys and girls who deserved every ounce of the celebrations that followed especially the stop in Barrack Obama for much needed nourishment.   Thank you to our club, the coaches, especially our two coaches/bus drivers Gary and Aedamar, to the parents, sponsors and all involved in making today possible

U16 Camogie
It was a fantastic week for the U16 Camogie squad.  The girls had a win over Causeway in the semi-final of the County League during the week. Causeway started off well with an early goal but Parnells re-grouped and found their groove to come out winners in the end. Thank you to Causeway and referee John Hennessy. On Saturday the ladies retained their Co League Cup title with a win over Cillard Camogie Club at The Arc in very difficult conditions. Well done to all the players and management.

Academy Training

The club Academy training for U6s to U12s continues every Friday evening with U6s, U8s and U10s from 6 to 7pm at Caherslee (V92X025). Those who have not tried hurling before are always very welcome to come along and give it a go.  Hurleys and helmets will be supplied by the club for the first few weeks.

Junior Camogie
Our Junior ladies put in a strong performance on Friday evening  Killarney/Sliabh Luchra in round three of the Aspen Grove Junior Championship. The ladies will now meet Causeway in the semifinal in two weeks time. Well done to all the players this evening in very difficult weather conditions. Thanks to Killarney/Sliabh Luchra for a tough sporting game and referee Brian O Sullivan.
Lotto
The numbers drawn on Monday 8th September were 14, 15, 24, 26.  There was no jackpot winner.  Congratulations to Aine Lambe who won the lucky dip prize of 25 euro. The next draw takes place on 22nd September.
