Academy Training
The club Academy training for U6s and U8s continues every Friday evening from 6 to 7pm at Caherslee (V92X025). Those who have not tried hurling before are always very welcome to come along and give it a go. Hurleys and helmets will be supplied by the club for the first few weeks.
U14 Hurling
Our U14 boys had a busy week where they lost out to Abbeydorney in the Lee Strand Kerry Coiste na nÓg Division 2 League final on Monday night. They recovered well to record a great away win in the County Championship Quarter final to Kenmare Kilgarvan. Also a special mention to players Ryan Hanafin and Liam Costello who represented the club on the Kerry U14 Development squad as they took on Clare in the Centre of Excellence, Currans last weekend.
Kerry Camogie
Congratulations to Tralee Parnells U16 player Kaela Reidy who represented Kerry U15’s at a national blitz at the weekend. Well done to Kaela’s teammates and management on a very successful day of Camogie. Congratulations also to Caoimhe Field who represented the county in a recent U14 national blitz where Kerry qualified for the cup final against Offaly.
Golf Classic
The club will hold it's annual golf classic in Beaufort Golf Club on Friday 24th July. This will be the main fundraiser for the year, please support in any way you can and spread the word. We are looking for teams, hole, tee-box and prize sponsors. For further details contact Agnes at 087 837 7969
Cul Camp
There are still some places available for the Kelloggs Summer Cul Camps. Reserve your place at https://www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie/. The Tralee Parnells camp in Caherslee takes place from Monday 27th to Friday 31st July.
Senior Hurling
Our Senior Hurlers finished their championship season when they met Crotta O'Neills on Friday 3rd July in the Senior Hurling Championship. While Parnells were competitive in the first half two quick succession goals from Crotta early in the second half ensured that the match would go only one way. While this is the end of their season it is certainly not the end of the Parnells remarkable journey. Rome was not built in a day. Well done to players and management on representing our club at the highest level of hurling. Ní neart go cur le chéile. Pairnéalaigh Abú.
