Senior hurlers continue County League
Hard luck to our senior hurling team, who came up short in a tough contest against Kilmoyley on Friday evening, with a final score of Parnells 0–13, Kilmoyley 0–15. Thanks to Kilmoyley for the sporting game, and to Mike Hennessy, who officiated the match. Parnells have a week off next week.
Kerry senior hurlers
Congratulations to the Kerry senior hurlers, and especially our own Diarmuid Quirke, who featured on the panel, on their good win over Meath in Trim last Saturday. This result secured promotion to Division 1B of the league next year, along with a place in the league final next weekend away to Laois.
Kerry senior camogie
Well done to the Kerry camogie team and management, who had a good win against Derry on Saturday afternoon, maintaining their unbeaten record in the league so far. They now look forward to a league final in the coming weeks. It’s fantastic to see Tralee Parnells player Orla Leahy on the squad—wishing Orla a speedy recovery from injury.
Kerry U16 camogie
Hard luck to the Kerry U16 camogie team, who lost to Roscommon at the weekend. It’s great to see so many of our club players involved: Caoimhe Shan, Clodagh Culloty, Aoibheann Hennessey, Sophie Brick, Maria O’Connell, Ciara Trant, and Kaela Reidy, along with all their teammates, as well as David Brick and the management team.
Underage hurling continues
Our underage hurling and camogie programmes are back for 2026. Training for boys and girls will take place every Friday during February and March on the astro pitch at CBS, The Green. The costs, which cover both months, are as follows: €20 for one child, €10 for a second child, and no charge for a third or additional children.
U6/U8 training will take place from 5 pm to 6 pm, while U10 training will run from 6 pm to 7 pm. All are welcome to come along and try it out—no experience necessary. Hurleys and helmets can be provided at the venue.
Scór na bPáistí
A fantastic performance by our young player Anna Murphy at the Scór county final in Ballybunion last Saturday. Maith thú agus go raibh maith agat.
Junior ladies
In sunny Caherslee, our junior ladies got their 9-a-side league campaign off to a great start with a win. Thanks to Causeway for a very competitive and physical game. Both sides played great camogie and took some lovely scores. Thanks to John Hennessy for refereeing, and to Joe Wallace for his help in setting up the pitch. It was great to see our supporters enjoying the sunshine. Next up, we are away to Killarney on Friday night in Round 2.
Registration is now open for 2026
Registration for the upcoming season can now be completed through the Foireann app or website. In 2026, Tralee Parnells are asking any members who can to please select the “With Lotto” (+ Lotto) option when renewing their registration.
We face increasing costs in providing the equipment and facilities needed for all our teams and age groups in our growing club. Opting into our weekly Tralee Parnells Lotto is a way for our valued families to help us meet these costs. Membership options that include Lotto also provide a 12-month club Lotto subscription (worth €130) at a reduced rate of €70, offering better value.
Thank you for your continued support in this, and in all the ways you help our club grow and develop into the future.
Lotto
Our club lotto draw takes place every second Monday at 8 pm. Play at https://traleeparnells.clubforce.com/products/tralee-parnells-gaa-lotto, where you can purchase one line for €2 or three lines for €5. Your continued support is greatly appreciated.
