Tralee Parnells Hurling and Camogie Club weekly notes

Seachtain na Gaeilge, Irish-language blitz
To mark the beginning of Seachtain na Gaeilge, an Irish-language blitz for the primary schools of Tralee was hosted at MTU Kerry and organised by Tralee Parnells.
A total of 150 primary school students attended from Gaelscoil mhic easmainn, Liatellick NS, O'Brennan NS and scoil Eoin Balloonagh. We sincerely thank all pupils who participated and made a wonderful effort to speak Irish throughout the day.
The programme included hurling and camogie activities, fundamental movement sessions in the hall, and a table quiz, all conducted through Gaeilge. The event provided an enjoyable and inclusive opportunity for students to use and celebrate the Irish language in a sporting setting.
We extend our sincere gratitude to all those who contributed to the success of the day. In particular, we wish to acknowledge the funding provided by Fondúireacht Sheosaimh Mhic Dhonncha and Glór na nGael.
We also thank Michelle Nic Gabhann from Trá Lí le Gaeilge, Gearóid O’Doherty from Kerry Recreation and sports partnership, Foras na Gaeilge, Eoghan Stack and the TY students of Gaelcolaiste Chiarraí, Clíodhna Ní Dhufaigh from Glór na nGael, MTU Kerry, Aodhán Mac Gearailt, Oifigeach Gaeilge, at Kerry county council, Kate Lynch and Colm O’Brien for their valued assistance and support.
Ní neart go cur le chéile.
