All-Ireland Camogie Final
What a fantastic day for Faye Lily and the Scroope family in Croke Park last Sunday! Although the result didn’t go Kerry’s way, I’m sure they will back again soon with so many rising Kerry stars! Well done Faye Lily you represented Tralee Parnells with pride hope you got to bring home your bit of Croke park grass.
Well done to Kerry on a great performance in the final, just failing to get over the line. No doubt they will be back there again next year!
U14 Kerry Camogie
Well done to Tralee Parnells Camogie players Maria, Clodagh, Kaela and Ciara representing Kerry U14’s last Sunday in Kiltale GAA in the National U14’s Development blitz.
Minor Camogie
Well done to our Minor ladies who had a comprehensive win over Ballyduff in round 8 of the Co League. With great team play everyone contributed throughout the game to take some fabulous scores. Thanks to Ballyduff who kept battling to the end and to John Ross for refereeing. A special thanks to Chris and Philip for having the pitch ready in the nick of time!
U16 Hurling
Hard luck to our U16s who were just beated in the U16 Co Championship semifinal vs Kilmoyley last Thursday. The lads battled bravely in tough conditions, with wind and rain playing their part. It came down to fine margins - Kilmoyley snatching a late goal in the closing minutes to seal the win. Well done to Kilmoyley and we wish them all the best in the final. Massive thanks to our players and mentors for the huge effort all season. This team will be back - no doubt about it. Final score: Tralee Parnells 4-7 Kilmoyley 3-12.
U14 Hurling
Our U14s were beaten in the Co Championship ¼ final last Friday by Causeway on a scoreline of Parnells 5-13 Causeway 6-17. They now will play the Shield Semi-Final next Friday at home vs the losers of the Lixnaw/Abbeydorney Cup ¼ final.
Kerry Recreation and Sports Partnership (KRSP)
The club would like to sincerely thank the KRSP for their financial assistance through the KRSP Club Grant 2024. This invaluable support has allowed us to purchase essential equipment - primarily hurleys and helmets - which are critical to the safe training and development of our players. Such funding is vital for the continued growth and survival of our club and of the games of hurling and camogie in Kerry. On behalf of all our players, coaches and volunteers, we extend our heartfelt thanks to KRSP for their ongoing commitment to supporting grassroots sports. Go raibh míle maith agaibh.
