Tottenham have filed High Court proceedings against Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe's company Ineos.
The chemicals firm signed a five-year sponsorship deal with Spurs in 2022 - before Ratcliffe bought a stake in United - but pulled out of the agreement last December.
Ineos says it had a "contractual right to terminate" the partnership.
