Katie Taylor is set to take a spell away from boxing to attend to personal matters, according to WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman.
The undisputed super-lightweight world champion was last in action in July, when she defeated Amanda Serrano at Madison Square Garden.
With Taylor stepping away, she will now be recognised as ‘Champion in Recess’.
