Sunderland closing in on top 4

Sunderland are just five points off fourth-placed Manchester United in the Premier League after easing past Burnley 3-nil at the Stadium of Light.

The result means they extended their unbeaten run at home to 12 league matches.

Burnley remain 11 points from safety and without a win in 15 league games.

Jorgen Strand Larsen's move from Wolves to Crystal Palace was the big move on transfer deadline day.

The Norwegian arrives at Selhurst Park in a deal worth up to 56 million euro.

Elsewhere, Liverpool reached an agreement to sign Rennes defender Jeremy Jacquet - but the 20-year-old with stay at the French club for the rest of the season.
The centre-half is due to join the defending Premier League champions on a long-term contract, in a deal worth a reported 70 million euro, in the summer.

Johnny Kenny was also on the move last night - the Sligo native has joined Bolton on loan from Celtic until the end of the season.
