Killarney Legion 1-22 Kilcummin 3-10
A final quarter in which Killarney Legion hit 0-11 helped them overcome home side Kilcummin, where the winners produced a 15-point swing to collect the points and move towards the business end of Division 1. Kilcummin with the aid of the wind in the opening half started brightly and goals by Cian Foley and Chris O’Leary in the opening quarter saw James Foley’s charges lead 2-5 to 0-2 by the 23rd minute. Killarney Legion had ran up the wides early but scores by Briain O Shea, David O Sullivan and Ryan O Grady saw the sides retire to the break with Kilcummin 2-5 to 0-5 ahead.
It took the winners just ten minutes of second half action to tie up matters 1-10 to 2-7 after O’Shea goaled. The Kilcummin reply was instant after Cian Foley intercepted a Kick out and set Paudie Moynihan free to raise a green flag. That was a good as it got for Kilcummin as Legion hit the next six points unanswered and despite a brace of points from Paudie Moynihan, it was Legion that would hold on for a six-point win

Glenbeigh-Glencar 3-10 Ballymacelligott 3-10
GG made an explosive start, scoring straight from the throw-in. Pa Kilkenny drove powerfully at the Ballymac defence, setting the tone early. The ball was recycled quickly, and Seán Tadhg Sheahan backed himself despite the narrowing angle—drilling a low shot beneath the advancing goalkeeper to give GG an early lead. Moments later, Daniel Griffin fired over a well-taken point for Glenbeigh, stretching the lead to 1-2 to no score. Ballymac responded soon after. G/G keeper Cian Knight made a fine save to deny the initial effort, but Donal Daly reacted quickest to toe-poke the rebound to the net, capitalising on a brief lapse in the G/G defence. G/G regained control and began to stretch the gap again. Adrian O’Connor pointed from a free, followed by a stylish effort from Tommy Cahill and a brilliant point from Keilen O’Sullivan, who curled it over with the outside of his boot. Seán Tadhg Sheahan continued to impress, kicking two fine points, including one just on the stroke of half-time—a score that drew a huge roar from the home crowd and gave GG great momentum heading into the break.
Aidan Breen worked hard to keep Ballymac in touch, landing two points of his own during the opening half. Half-time score: GG 1-7, Ballymacelligott 1-2
Ballymac began the second half with real intent, scoring three unanswered points. Donal Daly slotted over two well-taken scores to get them moving before G/G’s Cian Knight made another superb save to deny a clear goal chance. From the resulting 45, Jack Joy stepped up and sent the ball sailing between the posts, reducing the gap to just two points and igniting Ballymac’s comeback hopes.
A superb two-point free from Tommy Cahill pushed Glenbeigh further ahead once again. However, Ballymac stayed in the fight, with Daire Keane pointing to narrow the gap to three.
Liam Roche then surged forward to land an excellent point of his own, restoring a four-point cushion for Glenbeigh and momentarily halting Ballymac’s momentum. GG looked to have sealed the game when Keith Moriarty found the back of the net with a well-executed finish. However, Ballymac didn’t drop their heads. They went straight back up the other end, and Jack Joy, who had a fine game, replied with a goal of his own, reducing the deficit and keeping Ballymac in the hunt. GG then resumed the attack, and after a brilliant team move, Keith Moriarty passed the ball across to the back post for Fionn O’Sullivan, who palmed it emphatically into the net. This goal extended GG’s lead to seven points with just ten minutes remaining. But Ballymac refused to wilt. Donal Daly then fired a goal to cut the lead to three. With renewed determination, Jack Joy and Aidan Breen pushed forward, and as full-time approached, Ballymac earned a free which was calmly slotted over by their talisman, Aidan Breen, to seal a hard-fought draw.
Glenbeigh have now registered their first points of the Division 1 campaign. A lack of experience may have cost them the win, but the lessons learned will prove invaluable for many of our young players. Meanwhile, Ballymac's never-say-die attitude was tremendous, and they will leave Glenbeigh happy to have fought their way back to the draw.

Glenflesk 2-17 Kerins O'Rahilly's 1-16
KOR report: We made the journey to Glenflesk and succumbed to our first defeat of the campaign as Glenflesk ran out deserving winners by 4 points, 2-17 to 1-16. We made two enforced changes to our starting lineup with neither Donagh Buckley nor Daniel Bowler fit to start, both struggling with injury. On the plus side, we had Jake Foley released from the Kerry U20 panel to allow him recuperate following injury but his playing time was limited to one half. Though we faced the strong breeze in the first half, we were quicker out of the blocks with early scores from the inside duo of Conor O’Sullivan and Conor Hayes - Glenflesk replied with a point from midfielder Tommy Bowler but Conor O’Sullivan replied immediately when he slipped his marker and raised a green flag with a neat finish to the left corner. Padraig Griffin and then Gearóid Dillane got in on the act and by the first quarter we led by 5 points, 1-05 to 0-03. Glenflesk however, began to find their feet and with Killian O’Sullivan and Tommy Bowler now more prominent they tacked on 3 points, a Jeff O’Donoghue two pointer being the highlight. Their next score was a goal, following a ball into space which caught us unawares and suddenly we were a point adrift - we regained parity shortly afterwards as Jack found his range from play but a further 5 points, two 2 pointers courtesy of Dylan Roche from play and Tommy Bowler from a free saw the homesters extend their advantage to 3 points at the break, 1-11 to 1-08, with Jack, from frees, keeping us in touch.
The halftime deficit did not seem insurmountable however, but hopes of a comeback were dashed after the restart as Glenflesk mined 1-02 to our sole point ( Darragh O’Connor) leaving us 6 points adrift , 2-12 to 1-09 after just 5 minutes. The following 10 minutes saw us trade scores and we remained 6 in arrears as we entered the final quarter; by this stage, we had introduced Ben O’Brien, Daniel Bowler, and Breandán Meehan in an attempt to raise our hopes but Glenflesk stuck to their task admirably with the likes of Cian Lynch, Killian O’Sullivan, Tommy Bowler, Ian & Dylan Roche to the fore. To their credit, the lads stuck resolutely to the task and continued to work hard off the ball. There was no lack of effort, but at times, passes went astray, promising moves broke down, and those moments where pressure could have been applied slipped away — allowing the opposition off the hook more often than not.
There was only four points between the sides entering the final few minutes and when Darragh O’Connor raised a white flag we were down to 3 - however, following some consultation between the referee and his umpires the score was chalked off and though Conor Hayes, elusive as ever, slipped his marker, the goal keeper was equal to his effort and the ball was cleared to safety. However, Glenflesk remained resolute at the back, absorbing the pressure calmly before launching swift, direct balls into an energetic forward line. Their pace and intent in transition kept us on the back foot, the momentum firmly in their grasp. The final few minutes saw us continue to take the fight to the opposition with Barry John having the final say with a point deep into stoppage time. In the final analysis, Glenflesk were good value for their win while we will now focus on our next fixture, Beaufort on Easter Sunday at home where we will hope to resume winning ways and the return of some of our injured personnel.

Annascaul 1-16 Currow 1-8
Currow’s new pitch surface saw it’s first taste of senior action on Sunday but it was the visitors Annascaul who hit the ground running. They rattled off 5 unanswered scores including a magnificent 2 pointer from the ever dangerous James Crean, before Currow replied with a well taken goal from youngster David Healy.
’13 MINS: CURROW 1-00 : ANNASCAUL 0-06
The men in blue kept the squeeze on and their relentless running was duly rewarded with 3 more points courtesy of Jason Hickson & James Crean. The home side began to creep into the tie towards the end of the half with 2 Frees from John McMahon (an early replacement for Cathal Brosnan after 14mins) and a point from Seamus Brosnan. Crean punctuated the westerners first half dominance with another well taken score in the 27th minute.
HT: CURROW 1-03 : ANNASCAUL 0-11
The black & amber looked to shore up in defence in the second period and it was McMahon who was again to the fore with a well worked point in the 38th minute. Both sides traded scores over the next 10 minutes with Seamus Brosnan & Mike Hanifin chipping in for the home side which were responded to in kind with 2 frees from Jason Hickson.
’48 MINS: CURROW 1-06 : ANNASCAUL 0-13
Try as they might Currow could not close the gap, even with a sumptuous 2 pointer from goalkeeper Padraig Hilliard in the 55th minute. Annascaul’s high energy running game eventually won out and Killian Falvey’s goal deep in injury time was the icing on the cake for a well-deserved victory.

Kilcummin 3-11 Ballymacelligott 2-10
On the day that Kerry buried one of its greatest legends in Micko Dwyer it was fitting that this was preceded by a respectful minute’s silence. Not for the first time in the campaign the home side got off to a flier with a bright opening that saw them race into a 0-6 to 0-1 lead with scores from Mikie O Shea, Colin O Leary and Gavin Morrisey before Jack Fogarty added a 4th point ahead of a fine 2-point effort as the corner back bedded into life in the full forward line. Having lived off scraps for most of the opening quarter a fine goal by Barry Lyons on the 17th minute brought Ballymac into the tie and the visitors tied up the contest 1-3 to 0-6 by the 21st minute with further points by 12 and 14. A goal before half time by Fogarty saw the home side lead 1-7 to 1-4 at the break.
The second half was one for taking your chances and despite Ballymac having more than enough of their share they hit a number of poor wides ahead of an Aaron Buckley goal on the 43rd minute and when Callum McCarthy’s shot crept into the net on the 47th minute it really was game over.
Still a David Rogers goal for Ballymac in the final 5 minutes narrowed the gap somewhat but Kilcummin despite not finding a score in the final 13 minutes had enough in the bank for a 3rd win in a row.
