Craig Breen and Paul Nagle went off on stage 5 of WRC Rally New Zealand when in second place overall.
WRC.com reported how they "slid wide on a right-hander through a gate, replicating the actions of Colin McRae who made exactly the same error back in 2002".
Breen and Nagle lost more than 18 minutes in the process and are down in 24th position.
