The out-half has increased his training load with Leinster, having not played since April.

Sexton sustained his latest head injury during the Heineken Champions Cup quarter-final win over Exeter.

This weekend's Rainbow Cup meeting with Glasgow is likely to come too soon for a full return.

Meanwhile, flanker Will Connors will miss the remainder of the season having undergone knee surgery.

Saturday's meeting of Edinburgh and Ulster remains on, despite a positive COVID-19 case at the Scottish club.

Edinburgh say the player and a small number of close-contacts are now self-isolating.

Ulster's last scheduled game with Scarlets was called off after four Ulster players tested positive.
