World golf number one Scottie Scheffler's undergone surgery on a hand injury he sustained while cooking Christmas dinner.
The American suffered a puncture wound to his right palm from a broken glass - which has caused him to miss the season-opening swing in Hawaii next week.
Scheffler, who won seven PGA Tour titles last year, is eyeing a return to action at The American Express tournament in mid January.
