Salah rested as Egypt draw, South Africa into knockout phases

South Africa have reached the knockout stages of the Africa Cup of Nations with a 3-2 win over Zimbabwe.

They join Group B winners Egypt, who rested captain Mohamed Salah for their nil-nil draw with Angola.

Mali progressed to the last 16 as their clash with Comoros finished goalless as well.

Also in Group A, top-of-the table and tournament hosts Morocco eased past winless Zambia 3-nil.
