James Ryan has been handed a three-match ban following his red card in Ireland's defeat to South Africa on Saturday.
The Leinster second row was dismissed after an illegal clearout in the first half.
Ryan's ban will be reduced to two matches if he takes part in World Rugby's Coaching Intervention Programme.
